A Rustic Romantic Winter Lewiswood Farm Wedding
Emma + Josh
02.22.20
This is a bittersweet blog post for me to write… for the simple fact that writing and publishing it means that their wedding is over (and I have to come to terms with it!).
Emma + Josh have become precious friends of mine throughout this experience and sharing the day with them was literally like spending the most amazing day with lifelong friends.
Emma is beautiful- deep down to her soul! She has a heart of gold and brings joy to everyone around her. Josh is such an outgoing, funny guy who never meets a stranger! To know them is to love them. Their wedding was all kinds of wonderful. From the gorgeous blue skies + crisp air to the heartfelt details that made their wedding day the perfect rustic romantic wedding. Emma + Josh handmade the wooden box centerpieces AND the bar for their wedding! I was in awe- it was breathtaking and they are so talented!
Emma’s ring originally belonged to her grandmother- and it didn’t even have to be resized to fit her.
I can only imagine the sweet memories Emma has every time she looks down at her finger. Her grandmother’s sisters bought Emma’s veil and wedding dress, because they both wanted to honor their sister, and they knew if she was here she would have done this for her. I think that is such a sweet way to honor and remember her grandmother, and I believe she was smiling down on them all day. 😊
I can’t help but love a first look, for so many reasons, but one being that we knocked out most all portraits before the ceremony, so these two were able to have a relaxed day and we had a great amount of buffer time- nothing felt rushed- it was such a wonderful day!
Lewiswood Farm was such a beautiful, cozy venue and made the perfect backdrop for their rustic romantic day. During their vows, Josh promised to love Emma no matter how many cats she adopted. (A girl after my own heart!) They danced to Taylor Swift’s “Lover” and sent their guests home with delicious Krispy Kreme donuts to enjoy. That is a true #amberbrogdoncouple if I’ve ever met one 😉
Enjoy some of my favorites from their incredible day. Mr. and Mrs. Forehand, I hope you are enjoying the beautiful blue waters of the Bahamas + sipping some drinks for me! 😉 Love you both SO much!
xoxo,
Amber
