There are so many things I love about Michelle + Alex and their rainy winter wedding… one being how fun, light-hearted, and relaxed they both are. They are a perfect testimony of focusing on what truly matters and remembering that your wedding day is MORE than just the day, but it’s the start of a life together as one. Nothing could take away their joy!
Their winter wedding was timeless + cozy. I fell in love with the juniper colored bridesmaid dresses instantly! The gorgeous floral arrangements complimented their colors perfectly.
We watched the forecast closely the week leading up to their big day and we were fully prepared for a rainy winter wedding. The rainy day backup plan was put into action (something you ALWAYS need to have!) and the ceremony and reception were moved indoors. Havana Springs Resort had wonderful covered porches that we used for portraits! I was in full-on rain gear- rain boots, rain jacket, and lots of clear umbrellas! Though we had maybe 5 minutes of a break from the rain all day, their day was as amazing as you could ever imagine.
Michelle + Alex had the most unique special touches, a true reflection of their fun personalities!
Each table number had a fun fact correlating with the number. During the reception, I went by every table and read them all- what a fun way for their guests to learn unique facts about them! Their first dance was to “Lover” by Taylor Swift. OMG. All the heart eyes! Michelle is slightly obsessed with Taylor Swift 😉 They spent an incredible amount of time + effort into making their day filled with fun details, and it was incredible seeing it come to life!
Mr. and Mrs. Kallinger, thank you for allowing me to be such a huge part of your special day. Spending the day with you guys and your closest family + friends was an honor and so much fun! Enjoy some of my favorites from your beautiful wedding day!
xoxo,
Amber
Absolutely head over heels in love with their invitation suite!
Okay, I will forever be swooning over this!
The bridal party was a group of incredible troopers during the rainy winter wedding and specifically during the bridal party pictures! It was pretty much monsooning by this time. I wish we had a behind the scenes picture of this, haha! My wonderful assistant and I were tucked away in wooded brush to shoot this. She was holding a clear umbrella over my camera to protect it and we were trying to keep the bridal party as dry as possible from the sideways rain! It was a challenge to photograph but I’m so thankful they were such good sports + up for it!
Haha, LOVE these!
Michelle, her mom, and stepdad spent an entire day making these wooden ornaments for the guests as favors. Since their wedding was just three days before Christmas, it was a wonderful way to send the guests home with something they can use for years and years. They will always remember Michelle + Alex’s wedding day when they decorate their tree every year!
Alex can DANCE, y’all!
Michelle surprised Alex with these Spiderman cufflinks as a wedding gift!
These two met while working at Publix, so of course we got a shot with their old name tags! SO FUN!
The last song of the entire wedding was “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey, a perfect way to send these newlyweds off + celebrate the season!
