a spring pearl in the wild wedding | tallahassee, fl
The day was filled with laughter, joy, and so much LOVE! Megan + Randal are just crazy about each other. These two are so much fun and their day reflected that! The day was not only about the two of them, but also celebrating the union of their family. Not only did Megan marry Randal, but she became Bo + RayLee’s stepmom that day (not sure which one she was more excited about!) 😉 They have a sweet love and special bond! It was an exciting day for the entire family!
The first time I visited Pearl in the Wild was for their engagement session. I was so happy to be back shooting at this gorgeous venue! Megan and her bridesmaids enjoyed the morning filled with pampering in their beautiful bridal suite. It’s filled with natural light and the perfect spot for everyone to gather around, get hair and makeup done, and enjoy a mimosa or two 🙂
Megan’s ring has an incredible story… Randal had it custom made for her. It was given to him by Megan’s mother. The center diamond was from her ring, given to her by Megan’s step dad, who passed away three years ago. He was very special to Megan, so this ring means the world to her. What a sweet tribute and reminder that she will have forever.
I captured one of my favorite moments in history during their wedding. Randal wanted to share a special moment with his daughter before the ceremony started. It was all his idea… he wanted to walk RayLee down the aisle and told me how much it would mean to him to be able to look back on these images on RayLee’s wedding day when she’s older. (Okay cue the tears, y’all!) As Randal took his daughter’s arm, tears began to stream down his face. Of course they began streaming down mine too. RayLee didn’t quite understand why we were crying, but one day she will. 🙂 It was such a sweet moment that I will never forget.
I always consider it a bonus when we have a pretty sunset on a wedding day and I’m able to pull the bride and groom from the reception for ten minutes and capture some just married sunset portraits! The weather was beautiful so we took full advantage and snapped some portraits that ended up being my favorite from their day! That glow was absolutely beautiful.
Megan + Randal, I’m so grateful I got to capture this joyful season for you both! I am so excited for your life to begin as a family of four!
